Compilation Conditions

What comes with featuring on one of the compilations:

- Worldwide distribution through the bands, zines, labels, Belgian Metal fans and internet sales. Each band will be given the oppurtunity (no obligation) to order extra copies. The entrance fee includes the spread of 100 copies at a large Belgian Metal gig, two free copies for each band, and 50 copies to zines, labels and internet sale. Depending on the demand, we will produce more copies for internet sale.

- The possibility to sell or hand out your ordered copies.
- MySpace exposure.
- Promotional pictures for on your site, of handing out the compilation CDs at the gig.
- Featuring on a professionally looking release. All CDs and covers will be professionally printed and individually shrink-wrapped.
- Professional self-designed artwork in the form of a front cover, back cover and press kit flyers with band information.
- Your contact information on the flipside of the front cover.
- Free buttons with each copy.

Some more important information on the Poetry of the Dead Promotions:

We are a non profit based company which support the Metal scene through compilation releases, distro, label deals, reviews, interviews, artwork design and general band exposure/promotion.

We try to do as much as possible to put the names of the bands we work with out there in the scene. This is being done with the lowest budget possible, we are not here to ask a lot of money from the participating bands. Therefor, our compilations are not being re-mastered, the quality of your song on the compilation will be the same as the quality of the song on the CD you sent us in your promo package. We will need your song in the highest quality possible!

We try to maintain a positive relationship with the bands we work(ed) with. They can always come to us with any promotional requests they might have. Because of this, we are only looking for motivated bands who can really benefit from our projects.

What you have to do:

CONTACT US! We're doing two compilation releases each year and are continuously looking for talented unsigned bands to participate. We will give you an address where you can send your promo packages to. Our entrance fee is currently set at 30 EURO. We have a standard compilation contract form to protect your rights!

Distro Conditions

Distro for independent/self-produced and indie bands. You can contact us to add your productions or merchandise into our distribution section. We are accepting bands in all the Metal subgenres, plus Hardcore and Punk. Please read through our conditions!

Our conditions:
- Bands can send us a few copies of their production or merchandise items (up to 5 copies).
- For each item being sold, we will send back the money to the bands.
- If nothing or only a few items have been sold after a trial period, the bands can ask for the items to be returned at their expenses.
- We ask a 15% margin on the prices.
- We also have a promotional section where we will manage the promotion of the distro bands.
- We are doing two compilation releases each year and the distro bands will receive priority of being included.
- We have a distro contract form to establish the agreement.
- We are not accepting trades or wholesales for the moment.
